We do our best to stay clear of plastic
We are proud to say that the boxes we ship are 99% plastic-free. The tape, the insulation and even the ice packs are made from alternative, sustainable materials.
Each daily portion is ocean-friendly
Each meal is packed into a pouch made from natural products, free of (bio)plastic. They are home-compostable and dissolve in marine environments within 6 months.
Circular food chain
We give a new purpose to delicious ingredients that need to be removed from supermarket shelves. Food belongs on the plate, not in the trash, and we love ugly vegetables.
Locally made
Our meals are cooked in Amsterdam. They don't need to travel long distances and cross borders or seas to get to you, minimizing the impact on your pet's carbon pawprint.

What is fresh dog food?

In short, fresh dog food is simply real food as you know it. We get our meats and vegetables from local farmers, cook it in the same way we do it for ourselves and store it in the fridge or freezer.

We only use the freshest ingredients and don’t process our food to be stored on a shelf. Each ingredient we use in our recipes has a purpose: to deliver specific nutrients and minerals. This ensures that our dogs are getting the most natural and highest quality nutrients.

How do I store the food?

Treat it like real food (because it is). Our meals are prepared a few days before delivery with human-grade meats and veggies. Our meals are free of perservatives and additives, we ensure freshness by freezing them right after cooking.

Keep the frozen daily portions in your freezer. Let the frozen food thaw in your fridge, so make sure to always have 2 portions (1 ready and 1 thawing) in your fridge.

Your dog's meals can stay in your freezer for up to 6 months. Portions that have been defrosted should be used within 5 days.

How much does it cost?

Each dog is unique and has different needs, and so the cost will depend on the daily needs of your dog. You can share their information with us by filling this questionnaire and at the end you can check the price for your dog.
